I was born and raised in the south-west of England. I came to America in 1984 and settled in the Woodstock area.

In 1991 I gave birth to my daughter. It was a profound experience that I will always carry with me. It gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about myself. That experience led me to becoming a Doula in 1999.

The moment I learned about doulas I knew I had found my passion! I have enjoyed all the jobs I have ever worked, but being a doula is the most rewarding and challenging work I have ever done! Being on-call, staying up all night, keeping a positive attitude and "giving my entire self" for hours can be physically and mentally challenging. But ultimately a new family is born and I am privileged to be a part of that experience. Each birth is its own special story. Every birth is truly a miracle.

I have a great family, and a garden that I would like to spend more time working in. When I'm not attending births I like to work on my house, cook and search for information and training to expand the scope of my practice.

My training over the past 14 years has enabled me to pass along valuble information to women. Together we unite in the truth, knowledge and strength of all women who have birthed their babies.
A mom places her trust in me and I have faith in every mom. The relationship is a beautiful two-way street.
